3. The relationship between transmission torque and slip. Since the magnetic powder is dry, the dynamic friction coefficient and the static friction coefficient are basically the same. If the excitation current is fixed, a certain torque independent of the slip speed can be transmitted. When the two-axis magnetic powder clutch is started, the acceleration torque is always kept constant due to the constant torque characteristic, so that no shock or vibration occurs at the time of starting.
4. Response time and speed, the excitation coil is applied with voltage, and the excitation current is increased by the exponential function of the coil time constant (T=L/R) determined by the resistance and inductance of the excitation coil. The response time up to the value can be divided into a rise time in which the non-response time and the excitation current increase are the same, and the non-response time is about a fraction of the time constant, and the time constant of the magnetic powder clutch for power transmission is at least 50 msec. Left and right, the special design can be less than 10 milliseconds, the same phenomenon occurs when disconnected.
5. Idling torque, even if the excitation current is completely disconnected, due to the presence of residual magnetism, there is still a residual flux that generates a small amount of residual torque through the magnetic powder. When the excitation current is reversed, the residual magnetism is eliminated in a short time, and the residual torque is reduced. When the magnetic powder filling rate is increased, the residual torque is increased.
6. The heat capacity and durability of the clutch, whether the load of the magnetic powder clutch is appropriate or not, has a great influence on the durability. The clutch can also be used under continuous slip. The heat generated by the slip causes the temperature of the magnetic powder clutch to rise continuously, thereby affecting its working ability. Normally, the surface temperature of the magnetic powder clutch is controlled to be below 100 degrees Celsius. When the magnetic powder clutch load capacity is found to be downloaded, the magnetic powder should be replaced.
